As Executive Vice President of Public Relations for AMC Networks, Marnie Black oversees all consumer public relations functions for the company’s linear networks AMC, BBC America, IFC, Sundance TV and WE tv, and streaming services AMC+, Acorn TV, ALLBLK, HIDIVE, Shudder, and Sundance Now. In her role at the network, she has 360-degree oversight of brand messaging, consumer media relations, special events, talent relations and awards campaigns.

A PR maverick, Black has contributed to record-breaking results for AMC Networks’ trailblazing shows, helping to reshape the entertainment content landscape with shows like AMC's history-making “Mad Men,” the first cable network series ever to win the Emmy award for Outstanding Drama Series for four consecutive years and “Killing Eve,” which concluded its run as the most nominated series in the history of BBC America, receiving repeated Emmy nominations for its strong female leads, Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh who made history as the first Asian actor ever to receive an Emmy nomination in the Best Actress category.

Today, Black is overseeing public relations for AMC Networks most robust content slate in the company's history, including the final season of the highest rated scripted show in cable television history, “The Walking Dead,” and the debut of “Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire,” the #1 new drama on cable in 2022, generating critical acclaim and buzz with a commitment to authentic storytelling and increasing representation in front of and behind the screen.

Prior to her role at AMC, Black founded MB Public Relations and before that, led the communications team at MTV, where she oversaw their communications function for over a decade, serving as the key strategist in building brand image and awareness.

Prior to joining MTV, she served as Vice President for Publicity at Dan Klores Associates, where MTV was one of her clients. She has also worked at Shandwick Public Relations, YM Magazine and Edelman Public Relations. Prior to her career in public relations, Ms. Black was a professional opera singer.

Black earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Barnard College at Columbia University and sits on the board of UJA Federation of New York.
