Tana Nugent Jamieson is Executive Vice President & Co-Head of A+E

Studios, the award-winning studio unit of the global media company A+E Networks, LLC. In this role, she develops original scripted programming for all external platforms as well as for the A+E Networks portfolio of brands.

Tana manages a diversified slate, which includes the hit series “The Lincoln Lawyer” from writer and executive producer David E. Kelley, based on the series of bestselling novels by Michael Connelly. The second season currently ranks as the #1 original returning series and has been in the top 10 in 81 countries with over 40 million hours viewed.  The series is currently in production on the third season for Netflix.

Additionally, Tana oversaw “Parish,” a drama series, from creators Danny Brocklehurst and Sunu Gonera, and starring Giancarlo Esposito, which recently premiered on AMC/AMC+. “Parish” is poised to be an awards contender in the 2024-2025 awards season.

Tana also spearheaded “Flowers in the Attic: The Origin” miniseries for Lifetime based on the work of author V.C. Andrews, and the supernatural thriller “The Malevolent Bride,” A+E Studios’ first local-language production from “Our Boys” creator Noah Stollman, which launched in 2023 exclusively on KAN 11, Israel’s Public Broadcaster. Under Tana’s leadership in 2022, A+E Studios produced its first Korean drama series “If You Wish Upon Me,” for KBS and Lifetime Korea.

She also oversaw production on “Big Sky,” from executive producer David E. Kelley, which aired for three seasons on ABC, “Project Blue Book” from executive producer Robert Zemeckis for The HISTORY Channel®, the drama series “Reprisal” for Hulu, and the animated drama limited series “The Liberator” for Netflix. Jamieson also supervised the hit series “Six” and “Knightfall” for The HISTORY Channel, as well as the development of the critically acclaimed, Emmy-nominated limited event series “Roots.”

Tana is responsible for the studios’ overall deals with top-tier talent including Fineman Entertainment, Alyssa Milano, Sheldon Turner and Jennifer Klein's Vendetta Productions, Driver+Kent, Silver Lining Entertainment, and Range Media Partners (as part of A+E Networks’ larger relationship). As part of her day-to-day, she supervises development projects at Amazon, Apple TV+, Paramount+, and Netflix, among others.

Before joining A+E Studios, Jamieson was Senior Vice President, Drama Programming, at A&E Network. There, she oversaw the network’s West Coast team responsible for the development and production of all original scripted drama series, as well as limited series, movies, and miniseries. Among the series Jamieson supervised is the development of A&E’s hit series “Bates Motel,” starring Vera Farmiga and Freddie Highmore, from executive producers Carlton Cuse (“Lost”) and Kerry Ehrin (“Friday Night Lights”). “Bates Motel” premiered in March 2013 and earned Vera Farmiga an Emmy® Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. She also oversaw “The Returned,” based on the French series “Les Revenants,” from executive producers Carlton Cuse and Raelle Tucker (“True Blood”).

When Jamieson first joined A&E in 2006, she spearheaded the network’s first original scripted series development slate in more than six years, which included “The Cleaner,” starring Benjamin Bratt, and “The Beast,” with Patrick Swayze. In July 2010, she launched “The Glades,” which ran for four seasons, and in 2011, she premiered “Breakout Kings,” from the creators of “Prison Break." Her next series, “Longmire,” became 2012’s number-one new show in Total Viewers on all of cable.

She is a graduate of The University of Arizona and studied at The University of Madrid and Queen’s College in London.
