Amina Hussein, head of U.S. sports on-air talent and development, Prime Video, is directly responsible for the recruitment and onboarding of the on-air broadcast team that will present Prime Video’s exclusive coverage of Thursday Night Football.
Before her role with Prime Video, Hussein was most recently vice president of content at Peloton. Prior, she worked at ESPN for nearly 18 years, where she was an Emmy-winning senior coordinating producer. She served as one of the top NBA and NFL content creators in the industry, providing strategic vision for the widely known NBA Countdown and Sunday NFL Countdown, where she managed a team of 10 on-air personalities, as well as reporters in the field. During her early ESPN career, Hussein was a coordinating producer for the popular daily shows SportsCenter and NFL Live.
Hussein has been awarded with an Emmy for outstanding trans-media sports coverage for ESPN’s College Football MegaCast.
She graduated from Holy Names University in Oakland, California, with a bachelor’s degree in communications and media studies.
