Michelle Wroan is the managing partner of KPMG’s Los Angeles office and leads over 1,500 professionals in providing Audit, Tax, and Advisory services to KPMG’s clients. She previously served as the National Media Industry Leader for KPMG’s Media practice. In addition, Michelle is an Audit partner with a 27 year tenure at the firm serving clients from the emerging growth stage to mature public companies. As the Los Angeles managing partner, she is responsible for representing the firm in the marketplace, developing marketplace strategies, leading the growth and success of the firm in the greater Los Angeles region and helping ensure clients receive outstanding service.

Michelle provides audit services for public and non-public companies, using industry expertise in the relevant accounting standards and regulations to deliver high quality audits and add value at every turn. She also worked in KPMG’s Department of Professional Practice, which helps KPMG professionals and their clients address and resolve complex accounting, reporting, and SEC-related issues.

Michelle is passionate about advancing women in the workplace. She helped found the Los Angeles chapter of KPMG’s Executive Leadership Institute for Women, which helps prepare local business women for leadership excellence. She also serves as an executive board member of the KPMG Network of Women (KNOW), which fosters the personal and professional growth of women at KPMG.

Michelle gives back to her community in many other ways, too. She empowers youth as a board member of the Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles. She mentors female entrepreneurs through the Women’s Founder Network. She supports an array of philanthropic initiatives through the United Way Tocqueville Society. She also serves on the board of World Affairs Council and Town Hall of Los Angeles. She contributes her alma mater, the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), as a recruiter, speaker, and Chancellor Society’s member.

Michelle earned her B.S. degree from UCLA and is a graduate of KPMG’s Lead Partner Academy at the Wharton School of Business and KPMG’s Executive Leadership Institute for Women.

A certified public accountant in California and New York, Michelle lives in Los Angeles with her family.
